Every afternoon (except Tuesday’s) from 1.30pm to 3.15pm, we run an inclusive Opportunity Group for parent(s) and their children under 3 years. On a weekly basis, parents and carers join in with their children in these “stay and play” sessions. The emphasis is on play; the atmosphere is relaxed and informal.
All the facilities of the downstairs nursery and outdoor area are available for free play throughout the afternoon, and nursery staff and family support staff are on hand to support and advise. Refreshments are provided for parents and carers in the family room during the session. Towards the end of the afternoon, some simple structure is introduced in the form of music or story time and a taste experience.
Children and their parent(s) or carers come to the group on the same day each week during term time.
The waiting list for the Opportunity Group is now open.
Please call us on 0161 442 7767 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Children with special needs are admitted without going on the waiting list to ensure that they receive the necessary support and information as early as possible.
There is a charge per family for each afternoon session, usually this is paid in half term installments.
The charge includes refreshments and children’s snacks.
Children with special needs and their siblings are given free places.
If children are going to take up a place at our Nursery, we recommend that they spend some time in an Opportunity Group before starting. This gives them an excellent chance to become familiar with the Nursery building and staff, and enables us to build up a relationship with the family.
