We offer support for families through our Family Support Worker. Our role is not about telling families how life might be improved. Rather, it’s about understanding the culture and issues for each family, and through that understanding, providing informed support that makes a real difference to people’s lives.
We also arrange meetings and talks with professionals, and signpost into other resources the family might find useful.
From time to time we become involved in more formal support processes with the family, especially where there are concerns for the welfare of the child. Our involvement is not to criticise what has or hasn’t happened, but with other professionals involved, strive to support the family and ensure the child (or children) is safe. Please see our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures on the policies page of this website.
