Charnwood is a validated nursery included in Stockport Council’s Educational Development Plan, and all children attending in the terms following their third birthday are eligible for 15 or 30 nursery hours per week free of charge. Fees are charged for hours outside of this free entitlement, including the before and after school clubs, and lunch. A small weekly charge is made for snacks during the day and nappies if used. We seek to keep fees as low as possible to allow access for a wide range of families. Invoices for any fees are sent out two or three weeks into the term, and are normally payable termly or half-termly, but following discussion, this can be adjusted to meet personal circumstances. Further details can be obtained from the Finance Administrator at Charnwood.
The Local Authority funds a certain number of places for children with special educational needs, who are supported to join in all the activities at the nursery.
Charnwood Trust is a registered charity, and relies on the generous giving of friends and supporters. This makes it possible to provide the extra resources and family support that are a feature of Charnwood.
