Charnwood seeks to provide support for all families who use the centre. We employ a family worker who is available to give advice, information, help with filling in forms, make home visits, attend appointments with families and support families in a variety of other ways.

The Family Support Worker arranges:

Parenting Courses. Available to all parents. Crèche available.

Support Groups for children with special needs (click for Jigsaw)

Drop-in Sessions during holiday periods, enabling families of children with special needs to use the Centre’s facilities and obtain access to ongoing support.

Trips during the summer holidays for families of children with special needs to enable them to enjoy each others’ company and support, and to have support from additional adults.
